A while ago I remember reading an article about some bug in Africa that would bite dead people and make their nerves go crazy; they would get up and move after they were dead.
...If you consider that a zombie

could it be possible for scientists to create a "zombie" as in the zombies from 28 days/weeks later? by using genetic engineering or whatever

only in movies

They weren't zombies in that movie.

This, zombies are old news. They're used on farms for raw power output.

Who knows, it'd be pretty cool though. For a bit, then it would just be scary/unstoppable. If there's one thing I've learned, no one ever aims for the head until it's too late xD

This. I think about it like alot, thinking if a zombie outbreak happened where would be safest place and stuff in my house lol.

Also 28 days later wasn't zombies it was more like a rabies kinda thing to living people and they died eventually from hunger I believe and got weaker as time went on and they hadn't fed. Where as Resident Evil zombies were dumb as shit, moved slow and didn't have any need for food to survive they are just driven by the 'need to feed' but the need bit is more like a want 'cos they are to stupid to know anything more than a basic thing like that lol.

I wreckon it would be 'cool' like you said at 1st and as long as only criminals/trash are being infected but hey if 28days later can teach us anything it is that 1 infected person can lead to the entire world being infected :P There was this little game I played I think it was called 'infection' it is kind of like habbo hotel gfx and you have a chemical bomb to infect like 3 ppl in a city of like 300 and there are people with guns to stop the infection and your goal is to infect everyone in the city, pretty fun game :P Lol

yes but this is "engineering" a zombie. It won't have a virus/infection with it so no one would get infected.

Pretty sure it is definitely possible for a virus to mutate into something resembling a zombie outbreak though.

They'd be more like 28 days later or I am Legend then resident evil undead. However if you take into account bio-weapons research, it's completely plausible.

Yeah I don't remember where that article is anymore, but I read it as well.

e: The University of Pittsburgh has had some limited success in reanimating dead tissue.

There is a fish called "Kuglefisk" in danish, cbb to translate, which has a poison that will make you skindead, that the guys on tahiti use to make "zombies".

so it seems the only flaw for creating a zombie is tissue degeneration
