He's right though. If the sun turned into a black hole (though it won't), the event horizon would certainly not engulf the earth

interesting fact: the velocity at which you move through timeand the velocity in which you move through spaceare variables in an equation that always equals the speed of light according to einstein. this is why he never believed achieving the speed of light would be possible for anything with any significant mass.
