i doubt they exist...

with the current known physical laws etc, all logic talks in their favor..

Denying their existens is kinda the same as denying that you are intelligent o_O no offense

Yep, definitely believe in them. It's just hard to see how there wouldn't be something else out there at this point.

Life doesnt have to be intelligent to be counted as "life", and if it can happen on some shitty rock like earth it can happen somewhere else too.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but there are sooooo many other solar systems, cluster galaxies and full formed galaxies out there that I think it is kinda closed-minded to think that Earth is the 1 and only place that life exists.. It may be the only place NEAR us, or the only place that we ever have to worry about, but the vastness of space and the universe and the fact that with nature, there are no "flukes" everything has a purpose and everything has definition. There is other life out there, however far away, intelligent @ this point in time or not they are out there.. Hell look @ Gliese 581 c that is a planet just 20 light-years away that is considered Earth-like and judged as a place of possible inhabitability. Now is it "just" like Earth, no. But the important thing is that the planets condition and relationship to its star is correct for supporting life.

agree there are too many habitable worlds, especially considering the extreme conditions where we find life on earth. the big question is how rare is it to get taht initial spark? alot of people think comets/meteors have something to do with this.

its all a good lesson in entropy. it could be a 1/1,000,000 chance for a habitable world to become habited and there would still be life all over galaxy. finding it is not going to be easy by any means... we dont even know if we've found all of the moons in our own system!

even with a 1/1m chance of life evolving on a planet, there would be BILLIONS and BILLIONS of planets with some kind of life out there..
Since we only know our planet we might not even be able to detect or we might not even consider the things we find as "life".

But if you believe in an infite universe, theres no doubt that theres a lot of life out there.

Exactly this. Nut honestly here, how COULDN'T there be some form of intelligent life forms out there. Wait a sec, how can we state what intelligent means, we are basing the definition of intelligence on what we see on Earth. Think about it, society is pretty pathetic. Humans ARE intelligent, but if other life exists, I imagine somewhere it would have to be more intelligent then us. I mean we as humans, do stupid shit at time, and also screw up alot.

I do agree with your point, but I would just like to point out to you that the scientific definition of intelligent life is an organism that is capable of calculating difference and making desicions based on sensory or memory calculations. It doesn't require them to be flying about in space ships, shooting anti-matter weapons. could simply be a lizard-like creature or a multicelled small fish or something. finding an technologically evolved species would actually be very dangerous, because they would use any and all means to destroy the "threat" just think about how we would respond to "aliens" coming to Earth..
