You can not know that. And it's not even likely, there has never been a culture anywhere at any time that haven't had a set of accepted drugs within it.

I think it's just horrible that people aren't even allowed to take responsibility over their own minds. I know Terrance Mckenna is known for this theory, but I also had thoughts in the same way/direction before I even heard of the guy. That substances like psilocybin and other mind-expanding drugs might have had not an insignificant part in the evolution of the kind of consciensness and self awareness that we possess today.

Weed is illegal because the government is corrupt. My parents have been smoking weed since they were teenagers, they have no criminal record, they have jobs, and finished school. Weed does not necessarily make a person bad or evil. It is how you use it that counts.
