some animals, such as crocodiles, cockroaches, mosquitoes, etc, have been around for millions of years more than humans.
YET, we are obviously much more advanced then them.

being around longer =/= being more advanced or sophisticated.

correct ofc, but there are a couple factors to look at.

#1 we most likely wont find life on another planet unless they are transmitting some kind of signal for us to see (most likely a constant laser beam aimed up according to people working on SETI)

#2 millions of years is nothing in the scope of the age of any given planet. the odds of us finding a planet where life has evolved in the last few million years is pretty slim. our planet is though to be 4 billion years old, as soon as it became a habitable world life appeared withing a million years -pretty quick considering.

yes there are human race in other galaxies and stars
i believe aliens brought cave men on monkeys on earth(since they couldnt have survived the ice age bc it was like fukin -200degrees) than we evolved into humans who can walk upright. thus our ancestors are rly on a different star system.

We look at the wrong places. Say you've lost your keys in the dark, you will immediatly move towards a light and look for it there - Then you won't find your keys, just like we won't find ETs :P We look at gempacked clusters of stars and galaxies when looking for ETs, when we should look at less packed areas where dimmer stars, such as our sun, flourish and have other planetary systems :DD

Oh, and I doubt you'll find an identical race to the humans, but I am sure some will look alike - There are probably billions of civilizations out there, but the quest to locate them is beyond our technology.

perhaps there is some right in the room with you but you don't have the senses to be able to even sense them

The chance that there are other life-forms out there in the universe is like 99.999999%
almost absolutly sure

it can be all kinds of things... fish-like / mamels / birds / dinosaurs ... plants etc ... maybe even human-like creatures...
probably even civilications that are even more advanced then we are... the chances are very big

but the problem is .. we will never see them

there are like millions or billions of stars in our galaxy ... there are like millions or billions of galaxy's in the universe ...

and most likely there are many of the planets in the univers with living creatures on it .. the only problem is .. that they are so far away from us .. that they will never come close to us .. and we will never come close to them

even if we travel at the speed of light .. humans will still need like XX years to come to the closest star nearby ...
maybe if we can send out a pod ... with a speed of light ... and it will travel for like XXX million years ... there is a chance that it will hit a planet .... and there is a 0.00001 % (or even smaller) that it will be a planet with life-forms on it
then there is a 0.0001% chance that these life-forms can understand our technology

so there is like NO chance at all that we will ever see life-forms other then those on planet earth,
also we know that the universe is still expanding .. so every day the distance of our galaxy with other galaxy's is getting bigger wich makes the chance of ever going there smaller:)

u hit the nail on the head there :)

Anyways, I heard some astrophysicists say that in the past there may have been alien self-replecating robots/probes (their creators having died off) who visited the moon in order to expand/replicated further before they were to continue on with their mission. Does anyone know anything about this? I'd love to read about it :p

All those messages we send out for SETI are useless . They just disintegrate into static at a certain distance.

So at our current tech level our only hope of discovering an Alien Civilization is for them to find us.

untrue. there is a frequency at 1420 Mhz called the "watering hole" that can carry a signal through the galaxy. the frequency would probably be one of the first alien life would look at because it is the frequency at which hydrogen resonates (most common element in universe). also SETI doesnt really bother sending messages, most of the research is listening. remember, they were successful once:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wow!_signal <wiki about the WOW! signal from 1977. note that a few hours after this signal was detected ELVIS PRESLEY DIED! ;)

Are There Human Race In Other Galaxies?
As far as we know Earth is one of a kind, but there are billions of other galaxies out there

Undoubtedly, there should be sentient beings somewhere in the universe.
Its too hugh not to have some kind of other lifeforms at all.. otherwise its
really a vast waste of space.
