Tell me how knowing part of what animal we are will help us in any way. If we ever found out, tell me how that would help. Knowing the purpose of your existence might help you morally align yourself perhaps? What?
What are you getting out of this, trying to spend massive amounts of money on HUGE telescopes and rockets, that you could override helping other people on our own god damn planet?
You do realize that half of our planet lives in extreme poverty, so many of them don't have homes, clean drinking water, electricity you talk about, medicine.... and you feel that finding out (not to mention that the task of
finding this out itself is no mere feat...we won't be able to do that for another 500 years at least) that we're actually a part of a giant zebra is going to help? Check yourself.
lol
first of all, this has absolutely nothing to do with morality. morality is a human concept, without humanity, there is no morality, there is no concept of 'good' or 'bad', everything just
is.and I'm not sure what a philosophical speculation that does not require money to explore has to do with poverty? space exploration costs money, not philosophical pondering
so you would rather live a meaningless life with no other purpose other than to survive and thrive? you would rather be ignorant as to why you are in a state of existence? human life is insignificant without meaning, it holds no purpose without some sort of connection to our unexplored universe.
but I guess there are some people like you that wish to just live and die with your society without ever knowing or wanting to know any realities outside of school, work, and death
