Undoubtedly Isaac Newton. He definitely has the most impressive resume and is one of the most intelligent human beings who has ever walked this planet.

Darwin was my first choice. He has answered the most important question to date... where we come from.

Close second is Newton.

I heavily based my decision on a lot of the scientists' famous quotes and all, and I pretty much love Albert Einstein's quotes so I went with him. But on a more scientific level, I really don't think you can judge a scientist based on contributions to science as mostly all of these scientists have done something extremely important for the progress of modern science.

I voted other. I enjoy reading about the Nikola Tesla / Thomas Edison rivalry. Also enjoy reading about their inventions.

Sorry for translation mistake because I'm French and can't translate scientific words well !

My 2 favorites :

Dmitri Mendeleiev because he built the whole periodic table which (if you know chemistry a bit) is a omfgroflcopter job!!!

Gottfried Wilhelm Von Leibniz because he created differential calculus (in rivalry with Newton) and that's what made us understand everything that has numbers.

you know there are only 10 slots for a poll right? Sorry I cant fit in the encyclopedia of scientists. There are other scientists? wow didnt know that. ugh hate people

Charles Darwin was not deemed a physicist and Isaac Newton was not only a physicist...I never stated that is the only field of science...Science is everything...I listed what I thought of right away...nothing more...since I only had 10 slots. Way to try and bring sarcastic attitude into this thread. Hence why I made the "Other" slot.
