According to Einstein, no matter can reach the speed of light. This would infact break the law of physics.
Now for me, I am not saying it is impossible. But it is very rare that it could happen.

But I am saying next 200 years.

If we were able to reach light speed, we'd be obliverated.

How so?

Mass gain.

As you approach light speed you gain mass, a lot of it as you asymptomatically approach light speed.

I thought he was talking about society's discovery of light speed as a whole. Not an individual going the speed of light lol..

I give us another millienium.

They are coming up with ideas, such as colliding matter with anti matter which would achieve near light speeds once the reaction happens, but that is still in the research phases I believe.

i think well all blow ourselves to shit once oil runs out. i dont us advancing much farther once this energy source is gone. unless an incredible breakthrough occurs were toast. it was easy for us to advance to this point. crude oil burns great, is pleantiful, easy to obtain, and a liquid, ie cheap, easy to transport and store, and effective. we will never have an energysource like this again. we may advance beyond our current stage, but not nearly at the rate weve been going

we can already make molecules/atoms go near light speeds, but i think he means transportation at light speed
