Which is why it was *gasp* made essentially illegal in 1937, thus concluding this lesson. Was gz, now run along

you're are completely and hopelessly stupid. it made not paying taxes on marijuana illegal.

if you could pay the tax it was perfectly legal.

ne ways I won't read whatever you post after this because there really is no point, I think for your sake you should just let this thread die

the tax deal was that you could sell MJ but you had to have tax stickers on your stuff. but its a big loop because if you take in some weed to get taxes payed and stickered so you can sell it legally then you get busted for possession lol.

this whole thread is just tldr anymore. everything has been discussed that can be discussed about this thread.

The only problem is they never printed the actual stamps you could buy. They never intended to.

Personally, marijuana has had several negative long term effects on me. I smoked daily for 3-4 years.

Since I quit about 2 years ago my memory has noticably been fading. My spelling has been suffering too. I have panic attacks at any psychoactive effect other than that brought on by tylenol or physical exercise. I had to quit drinking any and all caffiene as well as smoking cigarettes. And I sometimes see patterns after doing things, like watching a movie, taking a shower, or playing certain computer games. Starcraft 2 makes me see patterns, so I don't play it. Team fortress 2 and Diablo 2 don't however.

all i was trying to do was say the 1937 tax act didn't make it illegal, and the 1970 controlled substances act was what made it illegal in every sense of the word. idk what their problem is with arguing even after they've been proven wrong :/

have you spoken to a doctor about your symptoms?

Some of you guys are absolutely retarded. Not everything is black and white...

Everyone is different, people's bodies react differently to different chemicals. For many people smoking weed can have basically no side negative side effects, but many other people experience problems while under the influence. When some people smoke weed they might feel paranoid, uncomfortable, dizzy, etc. When other people smoke weed they simply get high and have no problems. Like all other drugs, moderation is key. If you are smoking pot 4 times a day you are going to become a victim of some of the negative physical and psychological effects (even though it's fun as shit). As for driving while high....it's this simple - some people can handle themselves while they are stoned and some cannot. It's different for everyone. For example, I drive better when I'm high because if I'm driving stoned that probably means I have drugs and paraphernalia in my car so I drive slower and more cautiously to avoid being pulled over (never been pulled over or in an accident while either high or sober btw). I myself have smoked weed probably a couple thousand times and I feel comfortable getting behind the wheel while I'm stoned. Other people, even those with experience, might not feel as comfortable behind the wheel of a car and they shouldn't drive stoned.

And for the people who think pot gives you cancer, it doesn't. Simple as that. And even if it did, who gives a fuck? Lots of shit we all do on a daily basis can give you cancer. We all have to die at some point.

I'm tired of people thinking weed is either a really good thing or a really bad thing because it really depends on the person and the circumstances. This is coming from someone who has seen both the negative and the positive effects of the drug. Drugs are not for everyone.
