He only proved The unit of frequency of existing radio waves at one cycle per second by identifying the speed at which they travel. This idea was incorporated into the idea that these radio waves could be made to transmit sounds and voice by using a transmitter and receiver and Tesla applied for a patent in 1897, 7 years before anyone else.

Hertz sent and received the first radio signal more than a decade before Tesla. Tesla may or may not have applied for the patent first---I don't know---but he didn't invent it.

well i see a difference between the discover of what a radio wave is and an actual use for the radio wave. It's like the discover of the atom and the resulting discover that this idea could be used to make a bomb. Practical uses for technology are an invention also. It's like the internet is one thing - social media is another.

I agree. Tesla was an excellent engineer who improved on a lot of people's stuff, to make it more viable for actual use. Sadly there is a lot of inaccurate information about him on the internet.
