Given: Determinism, even at quantum scale

Theory:

1. Posses or create god-tier super computer.
2. Simulate big bang/creation based on information from cosmic microwave background radiation.
3. Run simulation at increased speed.
4. Profit.

Not really a time travel in the literal sense, but it "could" let you view the past/determine the future.

Drawbacks: When simulation progresses to the point where the simulated you creates the super computer/runs the simulation, the universe may divide my zero and/or bluescreen.

I think this would be where the problem would really come in (assumes you got past 1). Surely the universe is a chaotic system, and even a slight mistake in setting up the initial conditions would fuck you up. It is an interesting idea though. Great scifi material.
