There's a difference between prophesy and reliable prediction. Prophesy can be reasonable if it looks back on historical trends or extrapolates conclusions from basic facts, but prophesy generally lacks strong supporting argument and coherence. That being said, it can be fun to read

What proves that someone hasn't gone and made them markings a few years ago? I'm sure there are many other things the ancient people put down, which hasn't been true, but thats never been said. The would wont end in 2012, i'm 95% Sure of it

This is actually a very scary thing for me. After watching how advanced the myans were in their calendars and knowledge of time and space. Wow this freaks me the fuck out, they have been right on every prediction they have made before why can't this be true? And to the people not even considering this, the ancients had a more advanced calendar than us and predicted that "white devils" would arrive. We all know what happened when the white devils arrived....

look, about the mayans is something like this ... each period of 5125 years a new cycle was born (the sun "walked" from east to west toward the center of the galaxy) ... they used to call that "the sacred tree of life", and based on their calculations the sun was exactly on the center of the galaxy... the fourth cycle ended on 3113 b.C. so if you do the calculation + 5.125 its 2012. Capiche ?

just for the record ... they confirmed that the sun is "walking" toward the center of the galaxy... but it doesn't say the world is gonna end, just that some things are gonna happen.

i don't believe in any of this, but ...

you'll see some predictions inside an pyramid from egypt (Quéops Pyramid) either, and the same thing that we see with the mayans happen with them, numbers that match exactly with our modern science ..

now, nostradamus, Edgar Cayce and those "secrets of fatima" are the other 3 "Prophets" and none of them worked with "dates" !
