It's a stupid thing to say that religion explains the reality.

It's wrong.

I think science is more reliable to believe in since you actually do tests and prove stuff with it

vouch but eventually you have to just have faith that something we cant understand created everything..

I agree that we cannot figure out everything there is to know, but this is counter progressive! You cannot just sit back and expect to advance just believing stuff happens because it just does, thats not the right way to approach it.

For me, science has been a great influence, but so has religion. Religion is my set of morals, and I believe it was just made to keep people civilized and in check -- although many a times it is proved that things like deep faith or meditation can alter chemical amounts in your body/brain and make you more alert/blahblah. And simply because we cannot know everything you keep faith in that there may be someone else in this universe whos figured it out, possibly a creator, but that doesn't mean you give up on science.

I think I have both science and religion in my life, each with its own purpose.
I'd say that religion guides the way I live (morals, like everyone has already mentioned here) and how I act accordingly in society. On the other hand, science has a rather intellectual role in my life, where I use for logic and making sense of things. Of course I don't always use science to explain reality, because not everything is proven. That's when you just have to start having faith. I think that since science cannot cover everything around us, religion is there (although it's not its main purpose) to make sense out of those 'holes' in our lives. In situations that are beyond our control, such as our loved ones being in jeopardy, we tend to stick to faith/hope. I think that it's rather improbable that someone leads their lives solely on science since that would mean that they would always attempt to be objective towards everything which as humans, is impossible to do.

Well, with our current understanding of the universe we can't be definitive about this. There being a god is ofcourse absurd. However that doesn't rule out that there isn't a higher power out there.

For instance, the universal constant which basically governs all the forces at work in out universe. If it was off by even a small fraction scientists believe that physics would work so differently that even matter couldn't form, let alone life.

For all we know we might just be a science experiment to someone else.

if religion was a movie
there would be like a million plotholes

religion has more flaws than anything else in the world
such as the cliche why do bad things happen to good people
