Why do flat earthers alway conflate heliocentric/geocentric with globe/pancake?
If you where willing to do even the slightest amount of investigation into your claims you would know that humans have generally believed in sperical earth since 500bc to 500ad depending on location and how fast scientific advancement reached them.
Guess what , seafaring coastal civilizations where aware of reality before others because of the hard empirical evidence of witnessing ships sail over the horizon!
The funniest part is that flat earth theory in modern times originated as a way to make Christianity look backwards and opposed to scientific advancement. There was opposition from the church to the idea of earth revolving around sun when the heliocentric model gained favor, but it was already well accepted that the earth was a globe by everyone , even the church.
That wasn't enough though so some 19th century skeptics rewrote history and tried to make it look like Christianity claimed earth was flat, which it never really has.
And a buntch of simple minded idiots who would rather believe a you-tube video with a simple trick they fail to see though rather than actually investigating what reality is are able to perpetuate cave-man level understanding.
There is actually no record of any government or religious entity in the history of mankind claiming without a doubt the earth was flat.
I dare anyone to prove otherwise.
