On a real note I think there are other advanced civilizations out there.
Alot of Ancient Cultures Write and speak of Star Beings, Vermana, Elohim, etc...
It could be possible, The reason we don't see them could be as simple as the Killer Ant Theory.(best explained by Dr. Michio Kaku)


We know they exist but we don't see them, we know they will kill and eat a human, they roam in hordes, have pinchers that are giant,
and devour anything in there path.

We do not see them because they are insignificant to us, and we have no reason to bother them or disturb them.
There are too many ufo cases and witnesses to believe it's all made up.

the funny thing is even if we find life somewhere (assumiong not in our solar system), we would never be able to study it. that is to say without some much much faster means of travel and communication.
