religious organisations help a lot of people who otherwise would not be in a position to help themselves
the religious community provides a place for people to learn moral values and learn how to behave in a society

In regards to it being pointless to state the same thing over and over again, I hope 'the truth' as it were, never loses patience; we can't afford to. Christianity is a little murkier, faith is incredibly important, and faith isn't merely "God exists", but also your acceptance of Christ as Lord.

If you accept Christ as Lord, you "want" to better yourself an act as He acted, you often find yourself unable, but you do want to become a better person, and you try and act morally not only because of fear, but because of faith.

The only hope being that we'll start integrating bionic parts and religious nuts will be left as just "normal" humans.
