As a cybersecurity insider, I would say the best antivirus is caution and due diligence with Windows Defender in the background. It isnt very resource intensive, and works nicely with Windows, obviously. If you truly need a 3rd party solution though, I would recommend ESET Nod32, with Adguard Home running on a raspberry pi using DNS over HTTPS.
