I've thought about something similar to this as well.

Stopped reading before finishing the first line. Tbh i believe you dont undertand how evolution works
Just because evolution works a certain way doesn't mean it has to keep working that way forever. We relied on natural selection for billions of year, but we don't have to anymore. Our sentient human brains were created by natural selection. Those brains can now engage in Genetic Engineering, which could be the new mechanic by which organisms evolve. The definition of evolution could be different in 1 million years, it may not be bound just to cellular life.

We are all together in this rollercoaster we call life flying through space on a chunk of rock going millions if miles an hour.
You're right, but you're being too short sighted. This planet won't be around forever. We may never succeed at creating the spaceships needed to allow humans to colonize other solar systems and survive after our sun goes nova. Organic Earthborn life may be doomed.
But maybe we could successfully create robots that are as intelligent as us (or more) and send them on thousand-year voyages through space to inhabit other planets and carry all the knowledge and history of Earth with them. Doing that would ultimately be no worse than humans escaping the planet and leaving behind our extinct evolutionary ancestors. Objectively, they are the same thing.
