There were no injuries due to the fire at all, actually. The entire 80,000+ population was evacuated safely. They just had 2 deaths due to a head-on car collision on the highway.
I'm in Calgary just south of there, I imagine most of the evacuees will be coming here or Edmonton.

What will happen with their homes etc ? Are they all gonna need to find a new place to live ??..

1600 houses burned appearantly
It'll be several weeks or more till anyone can move back , those who lost houses will find new accommodations while the worst hit neighborhoods are rebuilt.

The fire just keeps growing, the only thing that can end it at this point is for the weather to help, and there's no rain forecasted anytime soon

Very sad situation
