that's basically all I can think of right now.. what are your opinions? do you think an AI could help humanity evolve to the point of no violent crimes? what rules would you think are appropriate for an AI to aciheive this?

Cool idea, I could see it working in a much simpler and less creepy way. Still scary if I'm honest that we have that kind of technology in the near future

You forgot the most important rule - most humans in fact like to tell other people how to live their lives, mostly because that is how they live their lives, and so the circle jerk must continue, AI would in fact end the myth of free will, freedom and choice.

i know but this thread has nothing to do with science, i clicked it thinking he had a link to a revolutionary new way to code ai, or some cool project somebodies doing, instead i get einstein over here telling us how how to stop crime with the antagonist from irobot (which i'm pretty sure the op got stoned watching before deciding to post this thread in the science section)

i said right at the start it was my opinion :P

i have nothing to hide or be ashamed of that would put fear in me about being monitored by an AI....

everyone seems to think "Oh that's an invasion of my privacy, I like to be a criminal when I am alone and am therefore scared of being found out... leave me to my deviant behavior" type of mentality....
