It does seem to work. Was wondering if it was dangerous to do so.

The plastic bit gets stuck inside the buzzer, causing me to have to take it apart to remove it.

I have similar chargers but that one is extremely tiny and I do not have a spare in its size.

You could charge it in a small tin box until you get a new one - that way it'll way limited oxygen/flammable chance . I wouldn't worry about it too much. Maybe just check the charger when you use it, if it gets too hot to touch - i'd get a new part.
