I read an article long ago saying when that does happen we are all destined to repeat the same life decisions choices etc.

I like to think this is what deja vu is

Makes you wonder... did the universe have a beginning? In order for there to be an end, there has to be a beginning. How did it all begin in the first place? Mind blown! Unless it's an infinite, cyclical process which we can never comprehend.

What the big mind fuck is "what is nothing"?was there just infinite darkness?or was there literally nothing?big bang started of it was the size of a marble. So can you imagine what the universe looked like or nothingness.its just not fathomable.

That's where I disagree with people like Lawrence Krauss, author of "Something From Nothing". I'm no PhD, but to me, there's a cause and effect for everything. EVERYTHING. Nothing just happens without reason, there is always REASON, a cause. This life you're living could very well be a variation of one you've lived before. SOMETHING had to propagate the universe as we know it, and if something spurred our reality, then it had to come from somewhere, not just "nothingness".

All this mumbo jumbo with nothing to substantiate it, makes me want to listen to this in humble humility, as just how insignificant we are... mere highly organized star dust.

well what caused this big bang to occur was it random or did something trigger it ? but either way there was a beginning for the universe whether or not it repeats itself etc this could very well be the 1000th variation of it.would that mean that time is infinite? or does the clock restart each time? but before that what was nothingness? its a hard thing to fathom and i drive myself crazy everytime i think about it.

I have read the same article too about universe. And I totally agree about the world changing.

Latest Scientific explanation is that the Universe "pooped" into existence from NOTHING. Not Zero energy...nothing. Not a very scientific position but has to be the answer in order for the shape of the observable universe to work with physics.

Another not so scientific explanation is that the universe only exists because of observation. Look up "Would the universe exist if no one was watching". Similar to how matter behaves differently depending on whether it is being observed or not. (IE particles have superposition until you try and determine where they are and Particle vs Wave behavior). So that article speculates the Big bang occurred because of an observer...

Even the multiverse theory is not really science since it cannot be observed or tested (does not fully meet the scientific method) but it is currently the best explanation for what is presently being observed that does not fit with current models without a supernatural explanation. So in a real sense Science is becoming Religion

Brings to Mind a Robert Jastrow quote:

"For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountain of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries."

yea your taking quanteum physics , the state of an atom/particle is indeterminate until measured/viewed by an outside observer.i think science is proving religion to be just a model of faith but hold no real scientific value.still big mindfuck trying to visualize what was there before the universe
