The theory of Relativity says time is relative to speed
The closer you approach the speed of light, the 'faster' time becomes
So in Einsteins example, if you traveled to Alpha Centari at the speed of light (6 light year round trip), for you 6 years would have passed.
But here on earth 100 years (not sure exact conversion) would have passed.
