"On April 23, NASA's Swift satellite detected the strongest, hottest, and longest-lasting sequence of stellar flares ever seen from a nearby red dwarf star. The initial blast from this record-setting series of explosions was as much as 10,000 times more powerful than the largest solar flare ever recorded."
This red dwarf star is only 60 light-years away.

New release :santa:

Once were regarded as island universes, isolated realms of gas, dust and billions of stars that were separated by unimaginably distances.
But no galaxy is an island...

Fresh upload :)

Stars and planets form in the dark, inside vast cold clouds of gas and dust. The dust is so thick that we can't see the stars behind it. At least not with the visible light. With infrared light Hubble can see through the dust, but not through the thickest dust. Thanks to James Webb Space Telescope, we are finally able to look inside and through that dust. Webb will give the astronomers the closest look yet at stellar birth and planetary creations.
