When Eris was discovered, the IAU was inclined to set a specific definition for planets due to speculation that they might find more similarly sized objects within the solar system.
Eris is larger in mass than Pluto and orbits the Sun, so I'd think people who want Pluto to be considered a planet should also push for Eris.
e/ Eris might also be larger than Pluto in diameter. We aren't really sure right now, shit's hard to measure. However, there's a good chance that we'll find out around July 2015.
So uhh, if this interests you, definitely look into it.

pluto isn't even a planet. this has shaken my faith in science tbh
Science is ever developing.
Science isn't a faith. Its thinking and reasoning based on imperical evidence. When more evidence comes available sometimes our views have to be adjusted. Like how general relativity adjusted how we saw grafity since newtons work.

They'll probably get the memo.

Elaborate, or provide some examples please.
I'm not being a dick, just genuinely interested in what you mean.

That what 20 years ago was 100% right, is today a big bullshit with a lot of mistakes

The thing is that it wasn't 100% right. No scientist would claim that. Science doesn't claim that.
It was simply a model that worked best at the time and served well to point us closer to what is truly right.
