No..he's saying that claims with zero scientific evidence don't belong in this science subforum.

You claimed "An eternal being that exists outside of time."  ...there is no scientific evidence of such a thing.

So take such claims to the religious or sci-fi sections.

Where is your scientific evidence? :P

Eternal, go look up the definition :)

There is a difference between a transcendent God and a material one.

There is a difference between proof and no proof.

To believe without evidence is called faith...not science.

NASA is a bunch of goofs, yea 20 years ok... 200 years would be a good "guess" at best, and I think they would be finding us, not the other way around.  More realistically 2000-20,000 years.

NASA isn't talking about finding ET or little grey guys in flying saucers. They are talking about finding evidence of any kind of life, microbial or otherwise, in the atmosphere's of other planets. If there is life on any planets even remotely close to us it seems likely they'll find it sometime soon considering the new tools they will soon have to play with. If you'd actually clicked the link you might have picked up on this...

Also... does every other thread in this forum have to turn into a religion vs science flame war?

Yep because of the double standards on this site.

Go into the science forum and talk about god and fairys....thats fine

Go into the christian fellowship forum and talk about the lack of scientific evidence of their "god"....banned

What's further than "outside our solar system"?

Alot?
The Solar System comprises the Sun and the objects that orbit it, whether they orbit it directly or by orbiting other objects that orbit it directly. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_System)
Most/some of the stars we see in the sky are Suns, wich may also have plannets orbiting them.
In another thread, I posted that the universe is unlimited. And I believe many ppl agreed with that "theory".

i claimed no answer. you did.
i also mentioned no religions, you did.  another typical troll post.

we immediately assume any life we find outside of our planet will be on par or superior in intellect.  the simple finding of microbial life outside of our planet would be significant in that we would have definitive evidence that life is not unique to our planet alone.

Yup.
But I dont think we'd find a habitate of par or superior intellect anywhere close to us, just yet. Micribial life, I beleive it could be found, as many stated wherever water exists, life should be near. Even if water is frozen, microbs would be frozen with it.

This is true.
A few days after I got my tag, I decided to contribute my experience in the Christian forum. But I soon learned that I was wrong, my experiences/knowledge was against Christian beliefs.
Even Paul came and quoted me, with "bible quotes" correcting my words and life experiences to that of the writtings in a book...
Anyway, I kept eyes in the forum for a while, without posting in it. And every single person who went against Christian beliefs got warned and thread got shut. Or comment got "innaproriate w/e" and was hidden from public view.
Therefore, I cancelled out that forum from my life. It's a horrid battle to try and chat with ppl who follow scriptures... (that keep getting remodelled/rewrote to this day)

So to answer HighschoolTurd and other ppl having this debate.
I see where everyones coming from, and I respect it.
The site rules allow him to post his beliefs here, even if we do not agree with it, cause it's connected with God, religion or w/e.

If I'm not mistaken, according to Christian beliefs, world exist only for a few thousand years. So coming here and trying to talk about the universe and that a eternal power governs it, while believing that this power has been alive only a few thousand years, when FACTS confirm a min. of 4.5B years (and thats only our solar system)...
Well either correct yourself or rephrase your point of view ;)

He was saying that "out of our solar system" already encompasses everything out of our solar system so you can't go further.

while i realize what you meant it was poorly worded which is why he pointed it out.
