not sure why the anti vaccine crowd is so vocal these days, but it is extremely alarming how misinformed the public is.

i am a 3rd year medstudent and just finished my pediatrics rotation in a well off suburb. even in a well off economic area the misinformation is abundant. literally a quarter of the patients who come in do not want vaccinations of any kind for their child and it takes so much work convincing them that something they read on the internet is incorrect.

i've noticed well-off suburbs are exactly where misinformation is spread, bored and undereducated moms that spend a lot of time watching/reading sensationalistic news...some of these same people can be seen at natural food stores buying the next fad in health food thats claiming it can cure cancer and make the fat melt off. worse part is that they all get together and spread their ideas.

there's a clear purpose for some vaccines for herd immunity like measles, etc. but some are just stupid x10,000

ie: the flu vaccine has never been proven to help and some studies suggest that it can hurt the already compromised

but ill definitely agree the anti-vaccine movement has gained a tad TOO much momentum and has created a sect of fanatic hypochondriacs for sure

Considering there is no solid answer for what causes Autism ( environmental causes, hereditary genetics, epigenics , viral and immune system disorders are all thought to be possible causes ) , it's kinda presumptuous to say that Vaccines don't/can't cause Autism...

The theory of autism caused by vaccines comes in two forms, the toxins contained within certain vaccines, and the unknown consequences of overloading an immune system possibly causing an immune reaction that causes Autism.

It's also arrogant to belittle anyone who has a view that differs from yours, the most likely causes of Autism are genetics so I'd agree that the odds of Vaccines causing autism are very low, but you seem like a pathetic excuse for a human being , you present no argument for your false claims and belittle and rage at those that don't agree...
