i recently hiked a 600 mile section of the Appalachian Trail with some buddies who are hiking the entire trail right now. (longest marked trail in the USA, runs from Springer Mtn in Georgia all the way up to Mt Katadin in Maine, easily 2100+ trail miles)

If you're into hiking and camping you should try getting together some backpacking gear and going on a long distance trip, I would recommend it

as to your last question, no I've never hiked Yosemite but I will one day.

gnarly ill look up that trail always thought the pacific coast trail was the longest goes from Mexico to Canada i belive best parts imo being going threw the redwood forest

Edit: yeah the pacific crest trail is a tiny bit longer than that one but i guess there is an even longer one that goes coast to coast 6000 miles

Those trails are my dream i wish to become a park worker or ranger and do maintenance on long trails/backpack them myself for fun

If you ever make it to the south the Cumberland gap trails are beautiful and challenging.
