while i do not know what scientific credentials "Azrad" has, but i am pretty sure he has more science relevant credentials than you do and he has also shown that he has a pretty good knowledge (ie substantially more than the average joe you included in your 'equal as many') as evidenced by many posts in this forum and homework help line - and why i am curious as well why he has been locked (can't even pm him), i doubt very much that he has done anything bad (there are many reasons someone can get locked, just doing something stupid or being caught up in the scam of someone else are two of the many options)

and to add a comment on those 3% who do not agree:
see "taekvideo"s post and guess how many of those 3% are employed by big oil, big coal, etc or are even young earth creationists (or both)

Let me be more specific here the controversy here is whether humans are causing the global warming. Ofc I accept the anecdotal evidence why the fucking fuck do you think I made the goddamn thread asking others what they think goddamnit.. and azrad i don't him from a hole in the wall. All I know is that he constantly mocks and harasses me for past threads I have made. I am not a scientist and I don't give a fuck about that. I'm a hands on mechanical guy.

I should of been more clear on the statement you highlighted of mine with the biggest font. It **seems** to me that there are equal amount of ppl arguing for and against it. climate scientist and because they are "climate scientist" that makes them right over other scientists? I don't understand why you people are get snark with me for responding to azrad when he clearly mocks me I come in here I didn't say OMG climate science is a lie I don't fucking know that. at the first point you made: the rate of average temperature change in the last century strongly correlates with man made agent contributing
at you following statement: if you would use a more civilised language people might take you more seriously
and re 'climate scientists': those people are better trained to analyse/judge weather effects than others - would you go to an er to get your car serviced?
and re mocking: if you repeat the same type of mistakes without considering comments people made to your posts (and then check from other sources) plus indicate where your position is after that it is very tempting to assume that you are not learning anything and troll/mock you - there is only a certain amount of silliness one can take
you might be right in assuming that plenty people here do not have a degree to prove their scientific credential but quite a few have had relevant subjects in (senior) highschool [physics, chemistry etc were compulsory for me] or several college courses - and i can live with you not believing whatever credential i have, but i divulge personal information only to friends
also making comments in silly threads is sometimes essential to prevent those with less knowledge to believe the bullshit posted

After all of this i still dont understand how Co2 raises temperatures and why there is evidence of the climate being warmer in the past. CO2 has a large cross-section for scattering infrared photons.
CO2 has a small cross-section for scattering photons in the visible range.
This alone is enough to establish that increasing the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere will increase temperatures.


I have a degree in mathematics, but I did take quite a few physics courses along the way (that was my original major), so I suppose I don't have any "credentials". You made those threads, not me. I don't think it is unreasonable when trying to evaluate what someone is claiming in the present, to consider what they have claimed in the past. Or as I like to say "crazy does not exist in a vacuum". Meaning if you think someone is saying something crazy now, if you go and look into the past you will very likely find additional craziness. The only real thing and I'm gonna be honest about that i overreacted on was the dollar collapsing. as far as GMO's it's kinda hard to hear that all ovther countrys but US bans them and have Obama sign Monsanto protection act.
