there are lots of natural chemicals in your body...the difference being you are forcing large doses of something that shouldn't exist in such quantities in your body.

i'm not talking about them making you into a psychotic person forever...i'm saying you are mimicking the same problems that psychotic people experience. i don't see the allure in being a nut job for any period of your life.

Then for the thousands of years ritual's and spiritual events are considered people sending themselves into physcotic "nut job" state?

pro argument sir

lets also go back to thinking demons are what cause mental illness since the past is always such a shining beacon of intelligence.

this kind of shit isn't "mystical" anymore..its a recreational drug.

not trying to argue trying to get to a truth or level of conifdence in wether to try it or not, i am in no means against your side i just want to have a certain understanding of why i shouldnt. What about the monks that have achieved the same amount of triptomene release as dmt through meditation and fasting. Smoking dmt seems to be a short cut unless you want to spend 30-40 years mastering meditation

let's be clear about its ritualistic use...they had years and years of experience with it.

a novice with no real supervision under its effects can have any number of serious problems using it.

using it in a somewhat responsible way is generally fine...using it in a "lets see what happens" sort of way is just asking for problems.

oh ya

you tell me how living in a drug induced hallucination completely separated from reality isn't the same thing as those poor people sitting in a psych ward talking to people who don't exist anywhere but in their flawed mind.

we are nothing but our mind...and jackasses throw away its functionality for the sake of stupidity and weakness.

Uh...It's a temporary experience, giving you a different perspective on the world around you, and can be very enlightening.

Life as we see it is only but a single perspective, there is no harm in seeing another. Your idea of the brain only having full functionality in a 'sober' state of mind is just not true. That shit is functioning on overdrive.

Of course if you're just watching someone who is having an out of body experience, it's not going to make sense to you, and it's not expected to.

rape is also a temporary experience....doesn't make it a good thing.

this old argument again....psychedelic drugs do not enlighten you. just because YOU take a hallucination seriously doesn't mean it actually means shit.

Oh please...
A few of my friends philosophies on life come directly from their first time (and if I remember correctly, only time) using DMT.

You have to be joking...Rape....Very very useful counter argument.
If you think the point I made was that it was "good" because it was a temporary experience, you are highly mistaken.

Well considering nothing we do means shit...Of course it doesn't.

I think the fact that the majority of all legendary and symbolic artists of all time (musical and abroad) have created their art directly from the inspirations of drugs such as DMT, LSD, Absinthe, Shrooms, and other such drugs is a pretty clear indication of how useful these drugs can be in critical thinking and creative processes.
