There is a wealth of renewable clean energy sources on earth (solar and wind) and we have the technology to exploit it. Problem is, its a relatively new way of thinking for humans. For thousands of years we have been unsustainable consumers and there is billions of dollars businesses surrounding unsustainable energy sources like oil and coal. These businesses control a large part of energy market. It is extremity hard to convince a business to change their methods of energy production when they are currently raking in cash hand over first. Its very hard to get people to change their mind unless there is a financial incentive involved. In theory, as resources become more scarce and expensive, perhaps the clean energies will have a better chance to catch big businesses attention.

Well, it would be far more useful to use things that are renewable with less money put into them in order to make them viable for break-even. This would be completely free energy used from the corpses of the dead, and we could use other sources in tandem with it. Humans are not finite, they are essentially renewable, but I don't see why they would be used as a primary source, as they certainly wouldn't break even, similar to a pound of beef requiring hundreds or thousands of gallons of water and food. I posit that we suck all the water from their bodies, and then burn their fat to power a small amount of energy.
Sucking water from their bodies? why? how could this possibly be worth doing. Burning dead bodies for heat? Things like Coal is likely considerably less expensive than cow fat in terms of cost and energy produced. They use extra fat from cows for adding to ground beef and sausage. I'm not saying its a bad idea, its just probably not less expensive than other currently used methods. I really don't think burning bodies is very clean. It probably makes a big smokey stink worse than coal.
