The image on the right should be correct.
If you want to check the entire dive you should be looking at properties for C:\, not C:\windows.
You have a very oversized windows folder. A normal windows folder for win xp sp3 should be about 3.5 gigs and about 20k files.
My question is, why do you have an extra 10,000 hidden files taking up over 30 gigs of space in your windows folder? secret "art" collection?
To enable viewing of hidden files, open up the folder or drive in question and go to Tools >> Folder Options... >> View >> select "Show hidden files and folders" >> click ok.
Something you may want to do is do a file search for *.* in c:\ and set the search options to only display files over 5000 KB (5mb), this will give you a list of all the large files in the folder.
