The most probable answer is humans because for the earth to cease to exist something like a black hole or our star turning into a red giant would need to happen and those are (Most likely) far off. For humans to be eliminated all it would really take is an unexpected catacylsm before we develop technology to move enough people off planet to ensure the survival of the species. Right now we could theoretically send probaly a few hundred people to either a space station or Mars and make sure humanity wouldn't go extinct right away but with such little amount of people there would be no hope.

I voted incorrectly - my apologies! I think we're only 500-1000 years from getting a self-sustaining colony away from Earth, so I'd hope the humans would survive the interrim.

It'll be a shame to see old Earthy go when she does :(

I actually voted Earth.

But not in the sense that... It sort of explodes like the Death Star, but more along the lines of it reaching a state where it can no longer support a growing population or subsequent populations.

So... It will still be this rock rotating around the sun, but it will be devoid of notable life.

Humans for sure. All the possibilities of nuclear war, and disease outbreaks are more likely to happen than the Earth being sucked into a black hole etc.

Earth, almost certainly, provided we survive the next hundred years or so.

Humanity won't last more than another 10,000 years.

We are destroying this planet, eventually we will damage it so much that it will be unable to sustain us, BUT it will live on and possibly repeat the cycle.

However, the sun will one day perish as every star does, albiet not for billions of years, but it will happen... and when it does there goes earth.

There is little to no proof of this. Global warming may occur and the way they talk it sounds like Doomsday but that's a doubtful reality. In all likelyhood if global warming becomes as bad as they say, we'll lose a few coastal regions, some species will die out, we'll be more prone to storms but does this really mean anything? We'll just adapt. The chances we'll get to the point where Earth is no longer habitable for humans in the near future (I.E the next few hundred thousand years) by human fault is unlikely. Overpopulation won't be a concern because the population will balance out (Especially in poor areas where AIDS is prevelant), global warming won't be a doomsday issue, in 100-150 years we'll have the technology to make relatively afforadable space habitats at the Lagrange points.

Who know's what technology we'll have in 10,000 years, but you can bet we won't be confined to Earth even in 500 years.
