thought is a great tool its your minds conciousness to decide when is the right time to think or to not to think

since when does everyone appreciate music more the less they think about it? half the time i don't concentrate on what i'm listening to, i forget i'm listening to it...and animals not thinking and dreaming and having emotions? what? my dogs get genuinely upset when my dad takes one out on a leash and leaves the other two behind. i've watched my dogs fidget and twitch and make little barking noises in their sleep as if they were dreaming. this is a whole bunch of mumbo jumbo

Well, I experienced this myself : the less I think, the more I enjoy music and the present moment in general.

my cats definitely have personalities and sure as hell have attitudes. they understand what i say. they just cant understand overly complicated ideas. and cats.. could probably give a fuck less anyway.

For anyone interested: Descartes was discussing the possibility that everything you have ever experienced might be a trick created by some powerful demon (in modern times we might call it the matrix from the movie of the same name). Descartes argues that even if everything is just a trick, if you do not exist, you can not be tricked into believing you do exist. I think, therefore I am.

Re-phrased might read: Because I can think, I must exist in some form (even if I have been tricked about the nature of this form).
