Take a look up in the night sky and see how many "stars" there are. Guess what, only NINE of those dots are actually stars. The the rest of those pinpoints of light are each an entire galaxy
Do the laws of chemistry behave differently on all the other planets circling all the stars in those galaxies? I'd wager not
