woah.... what if this replaced blood???

just have an oxygenating device equipped, hooked into a vein and artery.



liquid goes in with oxygen
comes out and gets oxygenated
gets pumped back in...



im sure that the process of wrapping these little specs of fat around oxygen is a lot more complicated than that though. ^_^

I don't see this going that far.

This is a method of supplying oxygen to a starved system, not replacing the mechanics behind it.

The complications from the body rejecting the 'faux blood' would, most likely, result in potentially life threatening situations for the patient.

What you're talking about is a completely different technology.

Good to know when my tar-ridden lungs have finally squeezed out their last rasp of air, that I can have a precious 15-30 minutes to say goodbye to my loved ones.
