I saw a yellow fish on a camping trip one time, kinda looked like a super mini version of that? it wasn't in North Carolina though, it was on the Colorado River, on the border of Nevada and California.

There are lots of wild goldfish in large bodies of water.

Some of them are able to mature into real lunkers.
