If you're not sure of what's going on (I'm assuming you somehow messed up your fans :< but uhh, yeah) I recommend not messing with it any further, lol ;P & try to either take it to someone that will know how to fix it right away, or take a chance and open/close again and make sure fans aren't being blocked by anything/they are placed in correctly.
The more it auto shuts off ('cause it's overheating), the more you're ruining your drives.

tldr; don't touch that thing again and take it to some pro comp-tech.
