just because people still own things doesnt mean the technology isnt obsolete

thats just such a fraudulent statement in general

just because people still own things doesnt mean the technology isnt obsolete.

and besides the fact that you seem to have an misunderstanding of what obsolete means, there are plenty of technologies that no longer exist period.

for example, i just invented a unique device to poke  my dog with, and then i destroyed it. that exact technology now no longer exist and will never be used again because the secrets die with me

and there are probably millions of things like that. they were just so shitty in the first place that you never new they existed to begin with

Congratulations, you've reinvented the stick

Besides, we still use what you would probably consider obsolete technology on a day to day basis.

Also, I suggest you reiterate yourself on the definition of technology. You seem to think it's only about material things.

any tool or invention can be considered technology. a stick with a rock on it is technology - its just very shitty technology

you said technology never becomes obsolete, which is just untrue. my poking technology along with millions of other shitty technologies are obsolete

My use of the word never may have been a little harsh, but I was sarcastically dogging on the retro crowd.

On a side note, we still use poking technology today. Pool cues are a science unto themselves.

It's the same technology with an adapted purpose.

no its a different technology

the same way a black and white tube tv is a different technology from a 50" plasma flatscreen

you didn't invent it. you innovated an established technology.

okay so you would say a 50" plasma is the same technology as a black and white tube tv from the 50s?

they serve the same general purpose even if they are made from different components. you wouldn't have todays tv if it wasn't for the steady innovation since the first tv.
