That is not how evolution works. What advantage that being afraid of the dark would allow those who were afraid of the dark to breed more and survive better than those who aren't? That's like saying if a man lifts weights all his life and is very strong that his son will be strong too. Only if he lifts the weights himself. A learned behavior is not instinct and babies are not afraid of the dark.

im still scared of the dark sometimes too

Its cause & effect. If something is unable to be seen, its more threatening. You can't stand up to something you can't see.

Vision is one of our main defenses.
