So here, tell me how can I be wrong about this;

Imagine you have a very powerful telescope, that can actually focus and see the ground floor of a very distant planet located 1 billion light years away and you see an alien civilization there..

That alien civilization that you found IS NOT there in reality, it WAS there 1 billion years ago.

Now say that it is confirmed we can travel faster than the speed of light, and fly to a distant place in the universe 5 light years away (imagine we travel 2 times faster than light), so we would get to that place in 2.5 years, then we look back to earth and EVERYTHING WE WOULD SEE for the next 2.5 years was our past when we were on earth the last 2.5 years.

Mind blown? ^^ we are close to this point.

I know this will happen, I know we will be able to travel faster than light speed and even teleportation, and im sure it will be used to catch criminals ;p
So you better be carefull with what you do now cause there's a slight chance for someone to see you in the future ;p

Instead suppose we have a genie with three wishes, and use one of them to wish ourselves to that distant planet at the time when you're witnessing it through the telescope, and the second wish to get back to where you started. Boom. Who needs faster than light travel if we're just going to make stuff up?

The third wish would obviously be for a jet pack. Or maybe a dirt bike with flames painted on the side.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but Carl sagan is wrong in that video, as well as Einstein and his theories, a theory doesn't mean it is correct, for a reason is called a theory.
And its been found recently many of Einstein preachings were in fact, wrong.

Why is it traveling at light speed slows down the clock? That is brilliant bullshit.

I tell you what, light speed doesn't affect anything the real momentum of two objects, let alone 2 human lives.
Life and time happens independently of how fast you move, so unless you travel back in time or into the future your friend will be there, regardless of how many times you traveled around the world at the light speed in that minute.

And if you say you can travel back in time at light speed, that is another bullshit, the most you can do is SEE the past if you travel faster than light speed to a distant place and then look behind.

It is impossible to be in the same momentum of your past it future.

Brilliant, experimentally verified to be correct, bullshit. You don't know what you're talking about.

I think I"ve got it figured out. These aren't ideas you're having. They're highdeas that you're having. Which explains why they're senseless and fairly rambling.

i thought everyone learns fairly early on (even in high school physics) that time slows down when traveling at higher speeds.

also, if objects can move faster than the speed of light, your space/time travel thing is really the last thing anybody would be thinking about. we'd have bigger things to worry about... like, you know, causality. which is what your whole "seeing the past from a distant universe" is actually about anyway.

Haven't you read it? The guy is smarter than 80% of all people. He must be correct because he got 140 on an internet IQ test.

Wow, what Facebook app IQ test was that? I want to see where I score on it.

What experiment was that?
Where can I read about that said experiment that verifies that traveling faster slows down time?

Please tell me..

PS: Pming you with thread so you can answer.

not exactly understanding how this equated to time travel... oh wait because it doesnt.
