Based on chance i'd guess two ways.

Either people fail to live communally and we start from scratch ~4000 years or
People organize themselves and retain most of their knowledge. Could re-access resources and rebuild societies within ~100-200 years

If the second way, society would likely never be the same as it was before because we reached it through different means. ex: butterfly effect
