If this is true, why haven't they completely destroyed us yet?

Because they don't feel threatened by us. Just like you don't feel threatened by a lion in a zoo.

They could be, but starting your base of assumptions off of that idea alone is pretty narrow.

Stating that their little bacteria when you look how far we have evolved and how many different species there are is just as narrow ;\

But we aren't in a zoo. Were not in cages, were free and fully functional to do whatever we want. If you see a lion in a natural habitat are you going to try and rationalize with it?

From the perspective of someone who has mastered interstellar travel, being confined to the earth is comparable to being confined to a cage.

you kidding me? we are trapped on this planet. If we got off this planet then things may change, but as things stand now, this solar system is our cage.

And what happens when were not confined to earth?
It would be like putting 2 different species in the wild life.
What happens when you put a lion vs a deer? The deer runs away or gets slaughtered. Too bad if they mastered interstellar travel we cant run too far, so its basically like were getting abused in that cage.
What happens when you put a lion against something more capable of fighting? You get a battle.

There's many science fiction stories which answer that question, and they provide many different possible answers.

no it wouldn't

the lion does that for survival. if you're saying we have to kill and eat aliens to survive...
