Okay, I'm not too old (15) so don't laugh at my logic...

So... More mass = more gravity correct?

If I understand correctly... Something inside that mass must produce, or have something, that gives it a gravitational pull... (I.E. Electrical field, magnetic field, protons, neutrons, I don't know... I'm not an expert at this..)

So something about an atom (or something) must have a direct connection to gravity..

Just some thoughts to think about ^_^

ok?

Mass emits gravitons, according to theory.

Never heard of gravitons going to research it and see what I find :)

Also my astro teacher was telling us that gravity is curvature and curvature is gravity?

Gravity can be converted into work and then into energy. It's potential energy.

Hydroelectric is one example. The water flow is high because of cliffs. (Potential energy varying a lot of a short distance) And all that energy is used to turn a turbine, and then this can create energy or electricity.

...there is a lot of mounting evidence that gravity pushes instead of pulls .

it does both, actually

this is the other theory. it makes sense if you think about how light can be bent by gravity, which has no mass

this force can pull an object to it the size of texas and bigger. Much bigger. This force does not then use energy to do this?

force tells you how the energy changes with respect to distance, it's not the energy itself

Gravity pulls object to its center correct?

Gravity is not infinite but it has an effect on objects up untill they are an infinite distance away or they cease to exist correct?

My serious question is where does this energy come from! If the above is true then the gravity from a star 9billion light years is there. Obviously it has no serious or noticable effects because of extreme distances like this in space...but where does gravity get the energy to pull all objects towards it?!?!

Additionaly one of Jupiters moons, Io, has volcanic activiy because of jupiters massive gravity having a force on the moon heating it up through friction. The energy that powers those volcanoes then is gravitational in original??!?!

My ultimate idea is the ability of humans to harvest energy from gravity into a usable source of energy.

Iso answers/input/ideas!

Ahhh, NASA ever-so behind the times. Those aren't volcanoes but plumes of plasma.

Interesting. I thought we knew more going to keep bumping this thread n see what else I get. Also! the water from a dam is not what im looking for at all. The water absorbed energy from the sun to evaporate and rise eventually raining down over land and creating rivers that fund the dams energy therefore this energy is really just from the sun in an indirect way im looking for raw energy from gravity & answers to my questions!

Without gravity the evaporated water would stay in the air forever. There for it takes both. You cant just use gravity its self for unlimited energy. Think of a teather ball on a rope, while the rope hold it up it doesnt just spin endlessly it comes to a rest point where the string ends. Also in the case of windmills it isnt gravity that causes the blades to spin for power either, because if it were pinwheels would also always spin.

who knows what would've been there without gravity

First you can't use gravity to produce energy. Gravity is a force and is supposed to come from gravitons, which are subatomic particules. The mass is supposed to come from the higgs bosons, which are other subatomic particules that we still can't find.

Now you need to do serious studies related to relativity to understand all this and it can barely be well explained if you don't know some physics basics.

Also, you said that Gravity is not infinite but it has an effect on objects up untill they are an infinite distance away or they cease to exist correct?

The force from gravity is infinite, but you can't say that there are objects at an infinite distance away. The distance is always non-infinite. Remember that what is infinite will always stay infinite. Also, something infinite has always been infinite before. And now we're falling into maths. So it's really complex and you need a lot of deep studies in the subject to really understand all these.

IMO being able to control gravity = the ultimate technology.

Oh sup, yeah.. I condensed a neutron star, which is already a super condensed star, into the size of a grapefruit. It is 1 million degrees kelvin and powers my entire planet. Oh, and yeah.. this thing would normally have a lot of gravity n crush the planet n stuff rite? Naaah. As well as gravitizin' it to shrink it, I encased it in an anti-gravity bubble, which not only keeps us from dying, but it keeps excess heat from escaping (Creates an actual perfect vaccum, which doesn't exist anywhere in nature, allowing absolute zero to exist. Normal deep space still has molecules in it, with a strong enough gravitational field, you could keep it completely empty. Nothing there = heat can't travel through it). Oh, and the same also gave me perfect superconductors.

I also don't need any form of engines. I just create artificial graivty in a direction to push/pull my vehicle, from rollerskates to interstellar space ships.
