Quote
No one knows why... Honeybees across North America are literally disappearing in mass numbers, leaving behind hives still laden with honey, and pollen stores. The sudden death toll has taken scientists and beekeepers by surprise and left them with a puzzle that is not easily solved.

So he wasn't exactly trying to be a prophet, but I wonder if he expected it to begin so soon.

Did you read the link in my post? It was in response to the "No-one knows why" 2008 Quote. They appear to have identified and begun treating one avenue of the problem in 2009.

The researchers then treated the infected surviving under-populated colonies with the antibiotic drug, flumagillin and demonstrated complete recovery of all infected colonies.

But then again theres a 2010 article that shows Dissenting opinion amongst scientists akin to "Conspiricy theory" type "You are on Big Chemicals Payroll" acusations......
