Eh, I'm sure by then there will be self replicating nanomachines that can repair and maintain your brain indefinitely..

That's a stretch to say the least.

Immortality would be more likely to happen digitally though AI systems then self replicating nano technology that can successfully repair brain matter.

maybe in the future we could achieve some kind of utopia..but i doubt it..with free will there will always be greed and lust for power. And in this world, who would want to live forever..?

if possible it would be as a machine, nothing organic left.

this is the most stupid topic ever.

immortality is stupid. what gain do you get out of becoming immortal?
more money? more materialistic things? might i say, this type of immortality wont save you from a mag to the dome.

absolutely stupid, i would bet my life on it that anyone who got immortality would love it up until everyone they knew died.

waste of time thought and money.

Not going to happen. No one wants to live forever. Besides your brain will decay overtime...you kill brain cells everytime you drink/smoke and for several other reasons.. until we can figure out a way to fix that it won't happen.

You'll live for 500 years but for 400 of them you'll be mentally handicapped.
