Let's say ( hypothetically ofc ) that we somehow made a craft that could fly anywhere and the people aboard this ship never died. Once they got to the " edge " of the universe, what's after that? Would it be dark? Or since there isn't darkness there would it just be nothing? At some point would you hit an invisible wall or something? ( if you believe in the " matrix" theory). It just dosnt make sense that something goes on forever.
And if the big bang theory is correct, and the universe is constantly expanding then " deflating " you could call it, what would happen if I were to be on a park of the universe during the time that the universe was going back to the singularity? Would o just poof or would I be pulled with it?

1st , your craft is made of matter , and travels thru space
but when u get to the edge of space itself , it seems doubtful your craft would be able to travel thru whatever ( if anything ) lies beyond the space fabric ( just as if your craft was traveling thru water , and got to the "edge " of the water ( air ) , it wouldnt be able to fly thru the air , as it did the water )
if you could , no1 knows whats outside the space fabric
if you could live and experience the universe " deflating " , then u would be in space , as the space fabric itself contracts , and so you would be contracting with the universe
remember , the singularity didnt exist in space , and then expand in space
space itself is part of the universe
space is not independent , it was created when the singularity inflated
