Local animals gorge themselves on them. Birds for example.
Even creature on the ground, such as beetles, benefit from them during their die off.
Also, their bodies will degrade and supplement the top soil with vital nutrients.
If they help nature that much. Big plus.
Jus wish they weren't so noisy
Specially when you hear em from inside your house.
