Have you checked the EPA's website yet? I'm sure they have information of what chemicals are found in air pollution, and then you can search elsewhere to find the information you need about those chemicals.

I know Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) is the primary cause of acid rain and is responsible for killing off the fish in a lot of lakes in New York. Ever hear of the term "Dead Lake?" It means acid rain has destroyed all of the algae so it can no longer support fish. Usually they'll stock the ones that are starting to make a comeback during fishing season, too, but I don't know what government agency overseas that. Probably fish and game in most states, but EnCon (Environmental Conservation) does it in NY.
