a lot of the "wiring" on circuit boards is made from gold, most electronic equipment has gold used in it due to its low resitance/ high conductance

You can also use gold as currency. e.g. forum gold.

On a serious note, the price of gold is going up, so your project might not be as cost effective on a large scale.

Dude gold is in almost anything electrical i.e computers and they use it extensively on space probes and satellites gold>all

Actually Silver > Copper > Gold for electrical conductivity. Graphene and carbon nanotubes are pretty much the absolute best that we can get for electrical conductivity, but we won't be making macro wires out of graphene or carbon nanotubes any time soon. The longest carbon nanotube that I remember hearing about was about a meter long.

I have a $4000 frame road bike BMC SLC01 Promachine that has a complete frame built with carbon nanotubes. Should have about dozen of meters of nano tubes assembled together.

Gold like all transition metals are good conductors.

They form metallic bond where the atoms' electrons are delocalized (picture a sea of electrons surrounding the
dense positive core of the multiple nuclei), and as we all know, when the electrons are delocalized, we have a great conductor :)

The delocalization of electrons also account for the relatively high density and thus high weight of metals (just a side note).

can electricity run through gold if you make wires made of gold?

sorry for my English...i just need help for school project. thanks!

Gold is a metal.

I'm guessing you mean carbon fiber
